Jean Franois Harvey

Jean François Harvey

Harvey Simard, Law Corporation was founded in 1995 by Attorney Jean François Harvey. Mr. Harvey has completed a Bachelor of Law Degree and he is a member in good standing of both the Quebec and Canadian Bar Association practice. He gained a solid reputation and great respect during his 16 years of experience. Mr. Harvey is the Past-Chair, Citizenship & Immigration Law Section, Canadian Bar Association as well as the Former-Chair, Citizenship and Immigration Law Section, Quebec section,Canadian Bar Association.

Jean-Francois Harvey is a licensed Canadian lawyer in good standing with the Canadian Law Society and is authorized by the government of Canada to represent you with your Canadian immigration application.

Mathieu Simard

Mathieu Simard

Mathieu Simard obtained a Bachelor of Law Degree from Sherbrooke University in 2000. He was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2002 and since then, he has been working for Harvey Simard, Law Corporation as an Immigration Attorney. Over the years, Mr. Simard travelled frequently to the Middle East, Asia and South-America. Throughout his experience in Hong Kong and China, Mr. Simard developed an expertise mainly in the business class category (investors, entrepreneurs, self-employed) and the skilled workers program. Since 2005, Mr. Simard is one of the firm's partners.

Vincent Leonard

Vincent Leonard

Mr. Vincent Leonard completed his civil law program at Laval University in 2002 and was admitted to the Quebec Bar Association in 2004.

After starting his legal career as a counsel for various government departments and more particularly for the Ministry of Revenue where he worked as a legal counsel in tax, administrative, international, business and bankruptcy law, Mr. Leonard moved to China in 2006, representing an important Canadian investment dealer in Beijing and Shanghai. During the course of his stay in Asia, he achieved an excellent business network and acquired a deep understanding of the Chinese culture. He also developed a deep knowledge of various Immigrant Investor Programs.

Mr. Vincent Leonard joined Harvey Simard's Hong Kong Office in 2007 and focuses his practice on immigration (business class category: investors, entrepreneurs, self-employed and skilled workers programs) and commercial law.

Mr. Leonard is also a member in good standing of the Canadian Bar Association.

Mikaël Charette

Mikaël Charette

Mikaël Charette graduated summa cum laude in 2002 from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa, where he completed a License in Civil Law. He then went on to complete a bachelor's degree in Common Law from the faculty of Law of the University of Victoria. While studying at the University of Victoria, Mr. Charette was a participant in an exchange program at the University of Oxford, England, where he undertook a rigorous program in International Intellectual Property Law. Mr. Charette is a certified lawyer from the Quebec bar association. His education has been an ideal environment in which to develop bilingualism, multiculturalism and bijuralism. These are the foundations of the Canadian system, but also represent facets of globalized world.

Mr. Charette has completed a Master in Law at the City University of Hong Kong with honours, where his research was mainly focused on International and Chinese Business Law, namely issues on WTO. Coupled with his passion for international relations, law and commerce he has a strong commitment to the community. He was a member of the board of directors of a Desjardins branch from 1999 to 2002. Mr. Charette has a long experience deal with Chinese investors immigration to Canada and has been the manager of the Beijing representative office since 2005. Mr. Charette also collaborated with major law firms in Canada on cross-border transactions, including financing and acquisitions of overseas entities. Mr. Charette was a lecturer at the Desautels management faculty of McGill University, as well as a lecturer on several forums about China.

Pierre-Marc Lecompte

Pierre-Marc Lecompte

Mr. Pierre-Marc Lecompte completed his civil law program at Laval University in 2002.Mr Lecompte did his clerkship in one of the largest commercial Law firm in Canada, McCarthy Tétrault LLP. He is a member in good standing of the Quebec’s bar since 2004.

Mr. Lecompte started his career working in labor law, commercial law and construction litigation. In 2006 he decided to move from the private sector, in order to pursue a career for a para-governemental organization called the Société Immobilière du Québec. This civil servant position gave him the opportunity to work in different law fields such as real estate, construction and commercial and gave him the opportunity to deal with various important transactions and assume the lead multi-millions real estate transactions.

Mr Lecompte will be based in Shanghai and will also give support to the other members of our firm.

Caroline Vanier

Caroline Vanier

Caroline Vanier obtained a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2005 and was admitted to the Quebec Bar Association in 2006.

Following the nomination of her associate as an administrative judge in 2007, Mrs Vanier started her own office. She is specialising in Administrative Law.

Since 2008, Mrs Vanier has collaborated with Harvey Simard as an independent counsel in immigration for family sponsorship and skilled workers programs.

Than Tran

Than Tran

Mr. Than Tran completed a Bachelor of Law degree in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in English. He has worked for many international companies and he is highly experienced in logistics and import/export trading. He has been appointed as the Representative Manager for Harvey Simard Law Corporation in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Adrian DeSouza

Adrian DeSouza

Mr. Adrian DeSouza has over 25 years of solid business experience, including 10 years in the immigration industry. He specializes in the business immigration programs (entrepreneurs/investors), mainly from Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates. He regularly travels to all these regions. Mr. DeSouza is the authorized representative of Harvey Simard Law Corporation in the United Kingdom, being based out of London.

Jessica Loan

Jessica Loan

Jessica Loan (Tran Ton Nu Kieu Loan) completed a diploma in business and technology at Uniworld College in Sydney, Australia. She also completed an English Academic Foundation course at the University Technology of Sydney, Australia.

She is working at our Ho Chi Minh office as a marketing consultant. She worked many years as a business development and site sales manager for various Australian companies, before returning to Vietnam. In addition to her outstanding marketing and case processing skills, Jessica is a certified translator.

Amanda Chan

Amanda Chan

Mrs. Chan has many years experience in the Canadian immigration field and she is now the work coordinator for Asia to the great benefit of the firm. She joined the firm in 2002 and processes cases and pre-analyses them, she is also involved in the day to day coordination of our Hong Kong office. Her main responsibilities are to ensure that all files and work are done within the time frame defined by the firm's policy.

May Ho

May Ho

Mrs. Ho is working for Harvey, Simard Law Corporation as an Administrative Officer. She is in charge of interview coordination with our team of Attorneys, monitoring of immigration cases and communications with Government officers.

Mehdi Mahmoudi

Mehdi Mahmoudi ( authorized representative in Iran and UAE )

Mr. Mehdi Mahmoudi is a Law graduate from Iran. He also completed a Master's degree in International Law. He became an official member of the International Bar Association (IBA) in 2006. He immigrated to Canada and was granted Canadian citizenship in 2000. In 2004, he founded Saee Danesh Arya Institute in Iran. He possesses a solid 10-years work experience in the Canadian immigration industry. He is currently acting as an authorized agent in Iran, working in close collaboration with the law firm of Harvey Simard.

Nicu Pintilie

Nicu Pintilie

Mr. Nicu Pintilie graduated from Lasalle College in Montreal completing the Immigration Consultant program.  Mr. Pintilie heads his own firm, PiniConsultant . He has several years of experience specializing mainly in economic migration to Canada. In addition, M. Pintilie completed two university degrees and has experience in finance supported by the completion of the Canadian Securities Course from Institute of Canadian Bankers. He is currently acting as an authorized agent in Romania, working in close collaboration with the law firm of Harvey Simard.

Raza Mankani

Raza Mankani

Raza has more than 17 years of experience in media, marketing and business management. As par to his assignment in the Dawn Media Group, he has successfully undertaken international projects in Europe, North America and South Africa. He has also worked with blue-chip MNCs including Unilever and Gillette where he again accumulated strong local and international experience. He left Gillette in 2003 to set up his own marketing services & consultancy company, of which he’s on the Board of Directors today. He is also currently heading Harvey Simard Pakistan Liaison, authorized representative office of Harvey Simard Law Corporation based in Karachi and responsible for its immigration consultancy business in Pakistan & Afghanistan.

The office of Harvey Simard Pakistan Liaison is based in the prestigious Clifton residential cum commercial neighborhood. The villa which houses the office is flanked by the Chinese and Kuwait Consulate General and resides very close to the popular marine drive and promenade of Karachi.

Renato D. Bueno ( Philippines Authorized Representative )

Mr. Renato D. Bueno is the President and Chief Executive Officer of All Power Staffing Solutions, Inc. (APSSI) as well as a member of it's Board of Directors. Before coming to APSSI, Bueno served as Technical Consultant to the President and Chief Executive Officer of Social Security Commission (SSS) during the incumbency of President Joseph Ejercito Estrada. Previously, he served as the Regulations Chief of the Philippine Game Fowl Commission under the Office of the President of the Philippines. In addition, he also served in a variety of senior executive positions in various private firms. He likewise has worked in the past with US Immigration Law offices as Immigration Paralegal. He studied and graduated from Manuel L. Quezon University and San Beda College with a Bachelor of Arts degree major in Economics and Law.
