Québec Skilled WorkerImmigration au Québec (lien en francais) The Quebec and the Canadian Governments have an agreement that allows Quebec to select immigrants who best meet its immigration needs. Under the Canada-Quebec Accord on Immigration, Quebec is able to establish its own immigration requirements and select immigrants who will adapt well to living in Quebec. Living in Quebec means living in a democratic francophone society offering many advantages:
The Province of Québec is the largest Canadian province in size and is second after Ontario in population. The immigration processTo come to Canada as a Quebec Skilled Worker, you must first apply to the Quebec government for a Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ). After been selected by Quebec, you have to make a separate application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for permanent residence. A Visa Officer will assess your application based on Canadian immigration regulations. However, it should be noted that Québec Skilled Workers are not assessed on the six selection factors of the federal skilled workers program. To be selected as an immigrant worker, you must have the schooling and occupational skills to facilitate your job integration. Other factors, such as language, age, your spouse's profile and whether or not you have children are also important. |
